Founded in 1937 in New York City, American Tack Company soon became the country's largest supplier of thumb tacks and decorative furniture nails. Acquisitions expanded the product offering and the company became American Tack & Hardware operating out of the Flatiron Building in New York City.

 

Now known as AmerTac, the company is headquartered in Saddle River, NJ. with distribution facilities in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.
